Privacy Policy

Who we are

FunkFactory is a personal music library and discovery tool that helps you catalogue the tracks you dig and find new ones. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Account information

When you create an account we store your email address, display name and password (stored only as a secure hash by our platform). We use your email to verify your account, send password reset and security emails, and to respond to support requests.

If you delete your account, your library and personal data are permanently deleted from our systems.

Content you create

The tracks, crates, notes, artwork links and other library content you add are stored so the app can display them to you. This content is only visible to you unless you deliberately create a public share link for a crate or enable a public profile, in which case the shared content is visible to anyone with the link.

Usage information

We keep a private record of your searches and exports so the app can show your recent activity, personalise charts and enforce your plan allowance. We also collect basic analytics (such as which features are used) to improve the app. This data is never sold.

Purchases

Payments are processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details. We keep a record of your subscription status and purchase history so the app knows which features your plan unlocks.

Third-party links

Tracks in your library link out to third-party services such as YouTube, SoundCloud and Bandcamp. When you open one of these links you leave FunkFactory and are subject to that service's own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can export your library as a CSV file at any time (a Pro feature), and you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page. To exercise any other data right, contact support from within the app.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you in the app before they take effect.
